JS Unitrade
Merchandise, Inc. President and
CEO Samuel Po handed a cheque of
five million pesos to Habitat for
Humanity Philippines (HFHP)
Capital Campaign Chairman Fernando
Zobel de Ayala during the turnover
ceremonies held on September 19,
2011 at the HFHP national office.
With this support, HFHP will be
constructing day care centers in
the country. The first leg of this
campaign will be built in Quezon
City and Davao.
JS Unitrade’s
donation is a valuable
contribution to HFHP’s community
development model, particularly in
the educational development of
children. These day care centers
will provide better education
opportunities to children in
Habitat communities wherein
volunteers, partners, and parents
can conduct tutorials and other
learning activities.
The design of the
day care center shows a
welcoming and friendly atmosphere
and a nurturing environment. The
plan has colors which suggest that
children will have a fun learning
experience in the facility, and
that they will be taken care of.
“We are grateful
for the generous contribution of
Mr. Po and JS Unitrade,” said
Ricardo Jacinto, Habitat for
Humanity Philippines Managing
Director and CEO. “This will help
Habitat in achieving its dream of
communities where education and
values will be developed and
encouraged through these day care
centers.”
