Here's how:
First, place your diaper with the absorbent core facing towards you.
Two, pour hot water at the center.
Three, invert the diaper so that this time, the cover is facing up.
Next, get a clear, dry drinking glass. Place its mouth side down on top of the diaper to trap the air that will come out.

You know your diaper is breathable if mist has formed in the glass. When this test is done on diapers that are non-breathable, the glass remains clear, thus indicating that the diaper restricted air flow.
